Jowha van de Laak

Co Founder & Choreographer

Jowha van de Laak is a Dutch choreographer, dancer and educator, and a member of CDK Company’s creative team. Working across stage and screen, he contributes to the company’s choreography and artistic development while mentoring the next generation of dancers.

His credits include contributing to the choreography of CDK Company’s widely recognised dance film “Somebody That I Used to Know” and performing in Troye Sivan’s music video “Rush”. His work also extends to large-scale theatre, as one of the choreographers for “BLINDED by DELIGHT” at Berlin’s Friedrichstadt-Palast.

Alongside his creative projects, Jowha is a mentor within CDK University’s Advanced programme, working closely with dancers to refine their technique and develop their performance skills. His practice brings together creation, performance and teaching, connecting the development of individual dancers with the collective work of CDK Company.
